Hear the real facts behind JAWS from a seasoned marine scientist, and help her think of a NEW poster for the beloved movie!
11:00am - 11:30am | Sharks 101 Talk
Are you a kid who maybe doesn’t know a lot about sharks…yet? Get introduced to the basics of this diverse group of fish.
11:30am - 1:00pm | Touch Tank
Fish are friends…NOT FOOD! Well, sometimes. Stop by our touch tank to meet some of the animals that build the foundation of our ecosystem.
1:00pm - 2:00pm | Shark Superpowers: Make a tooth! RSVP REQUIRED
What do you think makes sharks so special? Explore their amazing abilities and craft your very own tooth from clay!
10:00am - 2:00pm | Fin-tastic Headbands + Ask Anything
Throughout the day, drop by our coloring station and build your own shark fin headband. While you’re hanging around, be sure to ask our educators and volunteers any and ALL of your questions!
Fee: Free | *Parking fees collected 8am-4pm across Jones Beach State Park. Empire Passes also accepted.
Outdoors/Indoors?: Indoors and Outdoors.
Weather: In the case of inclement weather, all activities will be indoors.
