Join the Director of Curation, Brianna Hernandez, on an exhibit tour of the very first travelling exhibit “Indigenous Sea Stories” at Jones Beach Energy & Nature Center.

The exhibit explores water access, traditional place names, and the Shinnecock relationship with the sea-from pre-contact traditions and singing to the kelp, to historical conflicts and contemporary environmental restoration. Made possible by collaboration with Ma’s House: BIPOC Art Studio, the Shinnecock Kelp Farmers, and funding from NPS Maritime Heritage Grant.
